About us

Purpose and main aims of the National Association of Volunteering:

  1. To unite organizations cooperating with volunteers, volunteer mentoring programs, and public-benefit organizations working with children, youth, families, seniors, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups of the population, and to be a partner to domestic and international organizations engaged in volunteering across all age and professional groups or organizations with similar aims.
  2. To comprehensively support the development of volunteering and volunteer mentoring programs in the Czech Republic, thereby contributing to informal education and training, social activation, and social inclusion of vulnerable groups of the population.
  3. To provide services to its members, defend and promote their interests, and offer educational, informational, and advisory activities for them.
  4. To unite, cover, and represent volunteer centers in the Czech Republic as a unified umbrella organization in dealings with state administration, public administration, and self-governing authorities. To propose necessary legislative or other measures to state and self-governing bodies for the benefit of volunteering development in the Czech Republic and to review proposals prepared and submitted by other entities concerning volunteering.
  5. To ensure awareness-raising and advisory activities related to volunteering.
  6. To create and implement educational programs, training, lecturing activities in the field of volunteering, and to publish periodical and non-periodical magazines and publications, as well as to organize conferences, seminars, and other events related to volunteering.

The purpose of the association is fulfilled primarily by:

We unite managers, coordinators, supervisors, volunteers, and other participants and collaborators of volunteer programs,

We support the development and professionalization of volunteering in the Czech Republic,

We act as the umbrella body of the Five P Program in the Czech Republic in relation to state, non-state, domestic, and international organizations,

We are partners to domestic and international organizations engaged in volunteering, working with children and youth, or pursuing similar aims.
